Ambassadors of Conscience

U2 have been named Ambassadors of Conscience by Amnesty International. They will be presented with the award tonight in Santiago, Chile, by President-elect Michelle Bachelet. According to Nobel Prize winning poet Seamus Heaney the band has,

sung themselves to where great singing comes from, that place where art and ardency meet in the light of conscience.

Wow, is that not poignant? Sorry if I sound like a broken record, but I am so proud of my men. I cannot wait for U2.com to post the Santiago show report, and who knows, may be we'll get to see some footage as well.
