In early September we will finally be able to purchase Zoo TV Live From Sydney on DVD. The show was filmed in November 1993 and up to this point has only been available on VHS. Very exciting!! Shall run to Best Buy the day it is released!How should I describe the Zoo TV Tour? Let's see: leather, bellydancers, Bono ringing the White House during concerts and asking to speak to Bush Senior, enormous TVs all over the stage, Bono ordering pizza for everyone in attendance, and fly shades. After Joshua Tree and Rattle and Hum, Zoo TV demonstrated the band was capable of being a little less serious, and a lot more satirical and materialistic! OK, don't want to spoil it TOO much :).
In preparation for the release, should brush up on Achtung Baby and Zooropa albums. May PopMart Live from Mexico City on DVD soon follow!!
